With a Presentation By OIKOCREDIT

Enjoy the Eastside’s best wine and pizza while learning how you can invest in microfinance and alleviate world poverty!

The event, happening on Aug. 17 at Firenze Ristorante Italiano in Crossroads, will consist of a 30-minute reception followed by a brief PowerPoint presentation by the microfinance company Oikocredit. A $12 ticket buys you two gourmet slices of pizza and your choice of beverage: White wine, red wine, beer or soda.

Over the last few years, the use of small business loans in the developing world has expanded rapidly.  The mass appeal of making credit available to impoverished individuals is clear; this approach provides borrowers with a sustainable source of income while the industry itself can rely on investments rather than donations.

We look forward to seeing you there!
